• 3 Boxers Storms Into the Semifinals
• Saurav Ghosal wins Bronze medal in Squash
• Lovepreet Singh wins Bronze medal in Weightlifting
• Tulika Maan gets Silver medal in Judo (Women's +78kg)
Boxing
• Reigning World Champion Nikhat Zareen advances to Semis (50kg) with unanimous verdict win (5:0) over Helen Jones of Wales.
• Boxing medal assured for India Mohammad Hussamuddin is through to Semis (57kg) with 4:1 win over Tryagain Ndevelo (NAM).
• India as Nitu Ganghas comfortable wins her 1st round (QF) bout to reach Semis (48kg). There are two Bronze medals awarded in Boxing. Semis on Saturday
• Olympic medalist & 2 time World Championship medalist Lovlina Borgohain loses in QF (70kg) to reigning CWG Silver medalist Rosie Eccles of Wales by split verdict.
Judo:
Tulika Maan gets Silver medal in Judo (Women's +78kg) after going down to Scotland's Sarah Adlington in Final. Its 3rd medal in Judo for India so far in this edition.
Athletics:
Tejaswin Shankar creates history by becoming 1st ever Indian athlete to win a medal in High Jump at Commonwealth Games. Tejaswin Best attempt was 2.22m.
Squash:
Saurav Ghosal wins Bronze medal after beating defending Champion James Willstrop 3-0.Its maiden CWG medal for Saurav in Singles. Amazing tenacity by 35 yr old Saurav to beat a player to whom he has lost 8 times in 9 matches.
Hockey:
• Men's Hockey: India thrash Canada 8-0 in their 3rd Group match to move on the top of Group table. Next India will take on Wales tomorrow in their final group match.
• Women's Hockey: India storm into Semis of Women's Hockey after beating Canada 3-2 in their final group match. India finished their Group matches with 9 points (3 wins & a loss).
Cricket:
Women's Cricket: India storm into Semis with thumping 100 run win over Barbados in their final group match. After scoring 162 runs, India restricted Barbados to 62/8. Renuka Singh got 4 wickets.
Weightlifting:
• Lovepreet Singh wins Bronze medal in Weightlifting (Men's 109kg). Lovepreet lifted 355kg (163kg in Snatch + 192 in C&J).
• Gurdeep Singh wins Bronze medal lifting total of 390kg (167kg in Snatch + 223kg in C&J). Its 10th Weightlifting medal for India in this edition.
• Purnima Pandey finished at 6th spot (87+kg category) with best attempt of 228kg (103 in Snatch + 125kg in C&J). Purnima's effort was 58kg below the Gold medalist!
