LWT Men’s Double Sculls Final B: Arjun Lal & Arvind Singh finish 5th (5 teams) in Final B clocking 6:29.66; finishing 11th overall. This is India’s best ever showing in Rowing. Earlier Best: Dattu Bhokanal finished 13th at Rio 2016.
Golf
Anirban Lahiri carded 4-under 67 to be tied-8th, and Udayan Mane carded 5-over 76 to be at last spot (60th).
Shooting

Atanu Das moves into 2nd round with 6-4 win over Taipei archer DENG Yu-Cheng. Atanu Das stuns former Olympic & World Champion Oh Jinhyek of South Korea 6-5 in 2nd round and is now through to Pre-QF. Shoot-off decided the final result.

Women’s Fly (48-51kg) – Prel – R16: Mary Kom gave her absolute best before going down to reigning Olympic Bronze medalist Ingrit Valencia by split verdict 2:3 in 2nd round (51kg). Quite sporting of Mary to welcome the decision with a smile and hugging her opponent.

Men’s 100m Butterfly – Heat 2 – Sajan Prakash finished 46th overall (out of 55 swimmers). He clocked 53.45s in his Heat where he finished 2nd.Sajan’s PB: 53.27s. Only Top 16 swimmers qualified for Semis.
