PV Sindhu – Women’s Single 

26-year-old PV Sindhu has created history after beating He Bing Jiao by 2-0 in the bronze medal fixture to become the first-ever Indian female to win two Olympic medals. The ace shuttler with scores of 21-13, 21-15 managed to clinch bronze, becoming the second only Indian to win a medal in the ongoing Tokyo Olympics.


B Sai Praneeth – Men’s Single 

Sai Praneeth went down to Mark Caljouw (WR 29) 14-21, 14-21 in 2nd Group match. Sai finished last (3rd) in the group and his Tokyo 2021 campaign ended with both losses coming against shuttlers ranked lower than him.

Men’s doubles



Satwiksairaj Rankireddy & Chirag Shetty won their final Group match 21-17, 21-19 against the British duo but couldn’t get the job done. They ended their campaign with 2 wins & 1 loss, finished 3rd in their group & missed out on qualifying for the quarterfinal spot by a whisker.
