Dubai, 20th Oct 2021: Warm-up match of T20 World Cup 2021 saw the India beat the Australia by 8 Wickets at ICC Academy Ground, Dubai

Australia won the toss and, skipper Aaron Finch elected To bat first. Australia lost their two back to back wickets of David Warner (1) and Mitchell Mars (0) by the second overs at just 6 runs. Australia didn’t start off well as 3 wickets tumbled within the powerplay itself. Steven Smith collect 57 runs in 48 balls with seven fours. Australia could only score 152 runs for the five wickets in 20 Overs

Ravichandran Ashwin (2/8) were the main wicket-taker for the India. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ravindra Jadeja and Rahul Chahar chipped in with one wicket each.

Chasing the target of 153 runs, India openers Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul added 68 runs for the first wicket. Rohit Sharma notched up 60 runs in 41 balls with five fours and three maximums. India achieved the target after lost two wickets in 17.5 over.
