Dubai, 18th Oct 2021: Warm-up match of T20 World Cup 2021 saw the India beat the England by 7 Wickets at ICC Academy Ground, Dubai

India won the toss and skipper Virat Kohli asked Jos Buttler-led England to bat first. England lost their first wicket of skipper Jos Buttler (18) by the fourth over at 36 runs. Moeen Ali smashed 43 runs in 20 balls with four fours and two sixes. Jonny Bairstow scored 49 runs in 36 balls with four fours and one maximum. England posted a challenging total of 188 in 20 overs for the loss of five wickets.

Mohammed Shami (3/40) was the main wicket-taker for India. Jasprit Bumrah and Rahul Chahar chipped in with one wicket each.

Chasing the target of 189 runs, India started off well with a resounding partnership between the two openers. Indian Openers KL Rahul And Ishan Kishan added 82 runs for the first wicket. KL Rahul bagged 51 runs in 24 balls with six fours and 3 maximums. Liam Livingstone dropped Ishan Kishan at 70 but the latter decided to walk off and thus, made way for Suryakumar Yadav to finish off the innings.
