Fencing: Women’s Sabre Individual Table of 64 – Bhavani Devi Created history by becoming 1st ever Indian Fencer to qualify for Olympics. She has won R1 match 15-3.
Shooting: Skeet Men’s Qualification Day 2 – Both Angad Bajwa & Mairaj Ahmad fail to qualify for Final of Skeet event. Angad finished 18th (120 pts) while Mairaj finished 25th (117 pts). Total 30 shooters. 6 Qualified for Final. Last shooter to qualify scored 122.
Table Tennis: Women’s Singles Round 2 Sutirtha Mukherjee goes down to higher ranked Fu Yu (WR 55) 0-4 in 2nd round.
Badminton: Men’s Doubles Group Play Stage – Satwiksairaj Rankireddy/ Chirag Shetty go down to World No. 1 “Minions” 13-21, 12-21 in their 2nd Group match.
Sailing: Women’s Laser Radial Race 3 & 4 – Nethra Kumanan
Table Tennis: Women’s Singles Round 3 – Manika Batra goes down to World No. 17 Sofia Polcanova 0-4 in 3rd round clash.
Boxing: Prelims – Round of 32 – Men’s 75 Kg – Ashish Kumar
Swimming: Men’s 200m Butterfly – Heat 2 – Sajan Prakash finished 24th (total 38 swimmers) clocking 1:57.22 in 200m Butterfly event. His PB timing of 1:56:38 would have taken him to 22nd spot. Top 16 qualify for Semis.
