KIYG 2021: 4th Khelo India Youth Games 2021 Disciplines and Eligibility Criteria
4th edition Khelo India Youth Games (KIYG) 2021 in Panchkula (Haryana) from 21st Nov onwards which includes competition of U-18 age group for both (Boys &Girls) in 25-sporting disciplines. The 25 sports disciplines consisting of 19 sports disciplines from KIYG 2020, 1 new discipline Hand Ball and 5 new indigenous Games, the 25 sports disciplines are as follows;
Sports Disciplines for KIYG 2021 (U-18 Age Category)
1) Archery, 2) Athletics, 3) Badminton, 4) Boxing, 5) Gymnastics
6) Judo, 7) Shooting, 8) Swimming, 9) Weightlifting, 10) Wrestling,
11) Table-Tennis, 12) Tennis, 13) Basketball, 14) Football, 15) Hockey, 16)
Kabaddi, 17) Kho- Kho, 18) Volleyball, 19) Cycling, 20) Handball (Host State’s Choice), 5 Indigenous Sports disciplines
21) Thang-ta, 22) Kalaripayattu, 23) Mallakhamb, 24) Gatka, 25) Yogasana.
Athletes Eligibility Criteria
An athlete born on or after 1.1.2003 is eligible to participate in Khelo India Youth Games Haryana.
The Top Teams (For team event) will be drawn from Nationals conducted by respective Nationals
Sports Federations (NSF)/ School Games Federation of India (SGFI) are as under;
1) Basketball, 2) Football, 3) Hockey, 4) Kabaddi, 5) Kho-Kho, 6) Volleyball, 7) Handball
3rd edition of Khelo India Youth Games (KIYG) was conducted from
10th Jan to 22nd Jan 2020 at Guwahati, Assam. The KIYG 2020 had an approximate participation of 10,112
from 29 States & 7 UTs which comprised more than 6130 Athletes, 1504 Support Staff, 1074 Technical
officials, 37 Chef-de-missions, 1347 Volunteers and 20 Competition managers.
